Lindsay and Pierce

This was a shoot I had been dreaming of for a very long time. I’ve always wanted to shoot an elopement where the bride wears a black dress. (I think it’s secretly because this was the wedding that I wish I had.) As a creative, I think it is so important to take some time for yourself and make the kind of photographs that you want to make, not just the photographs that others want you to make. In my opinion, the best way to achieve this is collaboration! So I called up one of my favorite florists / wedding planners (Bowties and Blooms) and my very best friend and we made my vision come to life.

Lindsay and Pierce were the first people that came to mind when I was searching for models. They have been inseparable since they started dating four years ago and I knew that their love for each other would shine through!! I wanted to incorporate my own personal style into this shoot, which I like to think is a little edgy and punk, and they pulled it off perfectly! Fun fact: I’ve know Lindsay for over ten years and she was the maid of honor at my wedding!!

Julia and Daniel

This rad couple was so much fun to hang out with! When I arrived, I was greeted by the beautiful and magnificent Rosie, who was the absolute sweetest, and she even posed for a few photos for me. Then we decided to take a walk — they said it was one of their nightly traditions to go for a walk together. Sometimes Rosie joins them and sometimes Daniel skates. We had the best time playing in the streets of their neighborhood, and I 10/10 would recommend photo shoots involving skateboards.

Cortni and Eric

Nine years. Nine years of unconditional love, effort, acceptance, devotion, and good times have led us to this beautiful moment in time. A time where we get to celebrate the creation of a whole new person — made completely out of the purest brand of love. Eric and Cortni are spectacular people. Our time together was spent laughing and running around. I can’t wait to see your little boy toddling around in that pair of baby vans. He’s already the coolest, just like his parents.

Jennifer and Brylee

Sometimes, it feels really good to spoil someone with a complimentary photo shoot. I thought Mother’s Day was the best time to do a giveaway because mom’s are the real superheros and deserve to feel special! And what better place to hang out for the day than a sunflower maze! It was so much fun watching this little one experience the gigantic flowers for the first time, and it was so special to capture the connection between this sweet mama and her sweet baby girl.

Payton and Robert

There's nothing more beautiful and empowering than being present and holding space for a woman in labor. It’s one of my absolute favorite stories to tell. It’s a time when there’s lots of hormones and lots of things going on, and bits and pieces get lost throughout the day. To be able to capture such an incredible moment, bringing all the bits and pieces back together forever, is such an honor.

It’s kind of impossible to do justice to the incredible events that unfold before my lens. It’s even harder for me to put into words the raw connection, strength, love, and support that is the energy of the sacred birthing space, so I suppose I’ll just let the images speak for themselves.
