After photographing literally hundreds of my fellow humans, it has been my experience that it is much better for you to go with another photographer if you’re not really feeling a connection with me in order for you to get the best possible results for your photos — and trust me, I only say this because the experience you have with your photographer greatly influences how you feel about your photos after all is said and done.

I use an honest and free approach to create beautiful visual poetry straight from your world. My work is rooted in gentle moments, while also embracing the raw, unplanned, in-between moments that make life so extraordinary. These are the moments that we will capture from this juncture in your life that you will want to remember and cherish forever.

Real Raw moments

This is what I’m always chasing. For me, authenticity is the name of the game! One of my biggest goals when we’re shooting is to make it feel more like you’re hanging out with one of your pals. It can definitely feel awkward to be photographed, so I try really hard to genuinely just hang out with you. My style of shooting is heavily based on candid interactions, raw feelings, and emotions that shine through. This means that there isn’t a whole lot of “traditional” posing involved in a session with me. I want your photos to surprise you. I want you to be able to look back on these photos and be transported into the feeling of that moment. There’s not going to be a hundred edits of you looking at the camera with awkward, forced smiles. I don’t show up to a session with a book of poses to run through. I find magic in moments of authenticity and guide you through the shoot with prompts and actions that bring these moments to life. I want these photos to be true to who you are, I want to tell your story. I want to laugh and play with you! So if you’re looking for someone who is just going to show up, pose you for an hour, and leave — we may not be a good fit for each other.

If there’s anything that you should take away from a photo shoot, it’s amazing memories to keep forever. I want your shoot with me to be the best day ever! Every time you look at the photographs, I want you to be transported in time — I want you to feel those belly laughs and remember every amazing detail. To achieve this, all I ask is that you come ready to have some fun! Seriously, don’t stress out about things like weather, wind blown hair, clothes getting dirty, or cranky kiddos. Vulnerability and trust are two things that make for AMAZING photographs. Anyone can put you in front of a pretty background, tell you to smile, and take your photo. That’s not my jam. I don’t want to be your vendor, I want to get to know you! I want you to let me into your world and show me your one-hundred percent true authentic self. I keep stressing the importance of connection because I create my very best work when the people in front of my camera break down all their walls and fully let me in. I’m here for the real story — including the messy and unplanned parts.

Invest in your own story

Your life has so many chapters, and sometimes we get so caught up in writing the story, that we forget to add illustrations. I want to illustrate your story. The real deal. Whether it be the day you say I do to your soul mate, or the day you bring your child earth side. Time with your family, you and your love snuggled up at home, or just you being your best self — whatever is the most important to you in this season should be documented. You may feel that the price tag is too high, and that’s totally fine because you deserve to work with someone that fulfills all of your wants and needs — including your budget. However, in my experience you get what you pay for, and I ask, how much are your memories worth?
